Phyllis Keels has spent the last twenty years reading, researching, and writing about Viking culture. During her investigations, she became increasingly fascinated with the Viking settlement in Newfoundland. Much to her delight, Vikings had settled in North America, if only for a short time! It was at the crossroads of reality and imagination that The Realm of Vail was born. Phyllis invites you to sit back and be transported, along with her heroine Enid Kendall, to a Viking colony in New England….
Emma and the Paper is based on a true story about author Phyllis Keels’ own Labrador retriever. The book was written for Phyllis’ father before he passed away in 2009 and is a cherished memory for all who knew him. Children will delight in the original hand paintings of the author as they discover how simple acts of service become the focus of a deeper message of love and devotion.
Phyllis is well into her next book titled Daldriada. Check out the excerpt from it on the New Book tab of this site.
